Lesson 9: Another Way of Interpretation
Being able to interpret Tarot is a way that tends towards another private or thematic approach. I call this "another way of interpretation." Another way of interpretation is when you simply have curiosity about someone or something, which does not include what you directly do. Another way of interpretation is about someone, not for him or her. When interpreting for someone, write down personal questions and simply help explain the cards.
Another way of interpretation is for entertainment and providing information. They are also a great way to learn Tarot. When you use your own cards, you only start to touch some fixed limited problems - your own self! Another way of interpretation allows you to explore more.
Apart from choosing a theme, the procedure and another way of interpretation are basically the same (see §8). Some differences are obvious here. (Also see STEP-BY-STEP OUTLINE)
1. Choose a Theme
Your first step is to determine that your interpretation is on a theme. You can focus on anything - a person, an animal, a place, a problem, or a new time - as long as you identify the theme in advance. Usually it will mainly be within a situation, but it is not necessary.
Your theme can be a group of entities, such as marriage, family, a team, or neighbors. You can focus on a country or the earth, but with such a large entity, the information will be very comprehensive.
You may try another interpretation about someone nearby - a relative, friend, or colleague. In §7, I talked about the importance of focusing on yourself in interpretations. This is a simple test you can begin to judge whether another way of interpretation is appropriate. Ask yourself three questions:
◎ Do I feel a strong emotion when thinking about this person in this situation?
◎ Do I have a privilege in this situation?
◎ Do I expect a detailed result in this situation?
If you answer these questions YES. According to the opinion in §7, but write about your own theme question. Focus on the theme that interests you. If you feel curious about a politician running for president, you might ask:
"What factors influence Mr./Ms. Candidate's chance of becoming the next president?"
2. Moon Position
You can place a photo that helps you focus on your theme during your interpretation near you. An object that reminds you of the theme well.
3. Ask Yourself Questions
For example, something about another person or why you can do another interpretation. The guidance requires being concerned in the best interest, mentioning that you have a good intention for your theme! (If you cannot really say these, consider changing yourself)
