Because the shape of the egg resembles the heart, people believe that eating eggs can prevent the heart's energy and spirit from being damaged. After the Start of Summer comes the scorching summer. There is a saying in Sheng County that eating food on the Start of Summer promotes growth, implying that people's legs will be as strong as spring bamboo, capable of long journeys, symbolizing supporting the legs.
