What should be paid attention to in the lunar fifth month
The lunar fifth month is commonly known as the "evil month". Men of virtue should restrain their desires, eat light food, reduce sour taste, and increase bitter taste, which benefits the liver and kidneys. During this period, one should rest quietly and maintain harmony with nature to calm the mind.The lunar fifth month is also called the "poisonous month". In ancient times, customs varied across different regions of China. Some places in northern China considered the lunar fifth month as a poisonous month. The Nine Poison Days: the 5th, 6th, 7th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 25th, 26th, 27th of the fifth lunar month. These nine days are known as the "Nine Poison Days", and the 14th of the fifth lunar month is the "Day of Heaven and Earth's Intersection". Please be extremely careful during these ten days, even for an entire month. During these ten days, it is strictly forbidden to kill living beings or have sexual relations, otherwise, one act is equivalent to a hundred, which can severely harm the body, deplete energy, and cannot be recovered by medicine. In short, refraining from sexual activity and indulgence throughout the entire lunar fifth month can greatly benefit the body's recovery.
Taboos of the lunar fifth month
1.Do not engage in sexual activity or indulge, especially during the Nine Poison Days;2.Eat light food. From a nutritional perspective, eating light food plays an important role in health preservation.
3.Do not renovate. Harmful chemical substances such as formaldehyde and benzene are difficult to volatilize.
4.Do not shave the head of a newborn baby. A newborn's fontanelle has not yet fully closed, which is the location of the Baihui acupoint, making it susceptible to external pathogens.
5.Do not stay outdoors too late. Do not sleep under the open sky in pursuit of coolness, nor expose yourself to the wind after sweating heavily, as the intersection of heaven and earth makes it easy to contract external pathogens;
6.Keep sufficient sleep. In May, the weather is hot, with long days and short nights. People often lack sleep at night, and after a morning of work and labor, both physical and mental energy is depleted. A short nap in the afternoon is necessary, so napping plays a key role in maintaining good health, helping to relieve fatigue, and reducing the occurrence of certain diseases.
