The clothing system of the Yuan Dynasty was similar to that of the Liao and Jin Dynasties.
The Yuan Dynasty was ruled by the Mongols, so the clothing of the Yuan Dynasty was also quite unique. The Mongols often styled the hair on their foreheads into a small tuft, resembling a peach, while the rest of the hair was braided into two braids, which were then twisted into two large rings hanging behind the ears. They wore a type of hat called "jizi cap". The main clothing of the people in the Yuan Dynasty was the "Zhishun Fu", a short robe that was relatively tight and narrow, with many pleats at the waist, making it convenient for mounting and dismounting from a horse.
Noblewomen in the Yuan Dynasty often wore a tall and long hat that looked very strange, called "Guju Guan". The robes they wore were wide and long, making it inconvenient to walk, so they often needed two maids to hold the hems of their robes from behind. Common women usually wore black robes.
