1. Qixi Festival
In China, the night of the seventh day of the seventh lunar month is warm and fragrant with blooming plants, which is known as the Qixi Festival, also called "Qiqiao Festival" or "Daughter's Festival". Because it is the annual meeting day of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, it is also called the Chinese Valentine's Day. This is the most romantic traditional Chinese festival, and it was once the most important day for girls.

2. Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month is also called the Chinese Valentine's Day. This name has been used for a long time. The Lantern Festival is also a romantic festival. In ancient times, ordinary women, especially those from aristocratic families, were usually "not allowed to leave their homes for three steps", but only on the Lantern Festival could they go out at night to watch lanterns. In the traditional feudal society, the Lantern Festival provided an opportunity for unmarried people to meet each other, and the lantern viewing was a good chance for socializing. Unmarried young men and women could also find partners while watching lanterns. During the Lantern Festival, it was also a time for young men and women to meet their lovers. Therefore, the Lantern Festival is a symbol of love in the folk tradition.

In Taiwan, there is a traditional custom that unmarried women who steal onions or vegetables on the Lantern Festival night will marry a good husband. It is commonly said: "Stealing onions means marrying a good husband" and "stealing vegetables means marrying a good spouse." Girls who hope for a happy marriage should go to the vegetable garden on the Lantern Festival night to steal onions or green vegetables, expecting a happy family life. In the Tang Dynasty, the lantern market also had performances of music and dance, with thousands of palace ladies and young women dancing and singing under the lights, known as "walking songs" and "stomping songs." Ouyang Xiu (Sheng Chazi) wrote: "Last year's Lantern Festival, the flower market was as bright as day; the moon was at the top of the willow branches, and the person made an appointment after dusk." Xin Qiji (Qingyu An) wrote: "I searched for her a thousand times, and suddenly I turned around, and there she was, where the lights were dim." These lines vividly depict the scene of ancient couples meeting on the Lantern Festival. Traditional operas such as Chen San and Wu Niang met while watching lanterns on the Lantern Festival and fell in love at first sight. Le Chang Gongwen and Xu Deyan reunited on the Lantern Festival after breaking their mirror, and Yuwen Yan and Yingni in "The Spring Lamp Mystery" pledged their love on the Lantern Festival.

3. White Valentine's Day
March 14th. White Valentine's Day is popular in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, and is considered the continuation of the Western Valentine's Day. In terms of gift-giving, it is specific: on February 14th, girls give chocolates to boys, and on March 14th, boys return gifts.
In fact, White Valentine's Day, or White Day, originated from a Japanese folk tale: February 14th, Valentine's Day, originally was the day when girls expressed their feelings to boys, by giving chocolates to boys.
In Japan, it is still a male-dominated society, and on February 14th, it is mostly girls who give gifts to express their affection to their beloved. If the boy also has feelings, he would return a gift on March 14th to show mutual affection. However, in Hong Kong and Taiwan, the distinction between genders is not so clear. On March 14th, returning a gift to the other person indicates that both have mutual feelings.

The story of White Valentine's Day:
Heard of the Western Valentine's Day, also heard of the Qixi Valentine's Day. Then, do you want to know what "White Valentine's Day" is?
"White Valentine's Day" originated earliest in the third century in Rome. The Roman emperor saved a couple who were about to be executed because they violated the ban on romantic marriages on February 14th. To commemorate this day, the emperor established Valentine's Day. A month later, on March 14th, the couple vowed to love each other until death. To commemorate this day, it was set as White Valentine's Day.
