Legend One
The silence of dawn was broken by a commotion. Two soldiers pushed a well-dressed young man toward the iron gate of the prison. The men frowned, their eyes radiating an unhidden wisdom and devotion. His neat attire contrasted sharply with his identity as a prisoner. The soldiers led him to the warden's room for interrogation. The warden was an elderly man, and beside him sat a young girl. She was tall, her face rosy, wearing a white dress, exuding the charm of youth. Unfortunately, her eyes were like marble, dull and lifeless, clearly indicating that she was blind.
“Name?” the warden began the interrogation. He calmly answered with his name.
“Do you confess?” “No, I have no guilt. I only did what I should do.” His magnetic voice filled the interrogation room, echoing for a long time. The girl was attracted by this voice and suddenly asked, “Sir, do you like flowers?” This strange question surprised him, but he then answered in a gentle tone: “Yes, I do, Miss. I love nature and people.”
The warden became impatient and ordered the soldiers to take him to the jail. He walked out calmly, and before leaving, he bowed to the girl: “Thank you for your question, Miss.” Later, he learned that the girl was the warden's beloved daughter, who had been blind since birth. The warden regarded her as his treasure and loved her dearly.
At dinner time, the girl came to the cell with a guard, bringing him a rich meal. She said to him, “I know you are a good person. I want to talk to you more often. I have never seen the outside world. Can you tell me something about it?” Although a little surprised, he happily agreed.
That evening, the two began to walk and chat. They talked about the outside world, life, love...
Gradually, both of them felt a vague emotion.
Until the warden found out, he was furious, accusing him of seducing his daughter. He immediately confessed his feelings for the girl to the warden. His sincerity touched the old man, who only allowed them to continue their relationship.
His feelings for the girl grew deeper, and the power of love almost made him forget that he was in prison.
One day, while walking, he discovered a herb that could cure the girl's eyesight. With some knowledge of medicine, he was overjoyed. From then on, he devoted himself to brewing the herb every day. However, the girl didn't see the light, but he received a death sentence.
That day finally came. He was taken from the cell to the execution ground. The executioner gave the final command. At this last moment of life, a miracle happened. The girl's eyes regained sight, and she ran toward the execution ground, crying out his name. His eyes were moist.
The girl rushed to his side, looking at her first and last lover. Her tears fell in droves. They hugged tightly, not wanting to let go. They both knew that once they let go, they would lose everything. How they wished time could forever stay in this enchanting moment.
