▼ Scope of Application
Ask about - Love, Friendship, Study, Career
If you have already learned all the previous card layouts, congratulations! You are now ready to learn the most complex method in the Major Arcana - the "Solomon's Star Spread". This method may not be difficult to interpret, but it uses all 22 major arcana cards, and the steps are somewhat complicated, so it is very time-consuming. Be patient and carefully analyze!
This method is most suitable for general divination without specific questions. For example, if you currently don't have a partner and just want to know the recent fortune in love, or understand the current situation of work fortune... etc., the Solomon's Star will provide more detailed explanations.
▼ Layout![]()
1. First, follow the usual procedure of shuffling and cutting the cards, and get a pile of cards face down. Turn over the entire pile so that the cards are face up.
2. Next, find the "World" card. If the first card on the pile is not the World, turn it over and place it face down on the right side. Check one by one until the World appears. Please note: the checked cards should still be placed in order, face down, forming a pile.
3. After finding the World, place the World face down on top of the checked pile. Then take the next seven cards following the World, and place them in positions (1) to (7) in order as shown in the diagram. This layout does not require turning the cards, so place them face up directly.
It is possible that there may not be seven cards following the World. In this case, turn over the checked pile face up, and take the top card to complete the seven cards.
4. After the first seven cards are in place, starting from the eighth card, stack the eighth to the fourteenth cards on the lower right corner of the previous seven cards (as shown in the diagram). As before, if you have no more cards in your hand, take the checked pile, turn it face up, and start taking from the top to complete it. Of course, if you have already taken the checked pile to supplement, continue doing so now.
5. Usually, after the fourteenth card, you should have already started supplementing with the checked pile. Therefore, the fifteenth to twenty-first cards of the third round continue to be stacked on the lower right corner of the second round cards.
6. Once all the cards are placed, you should see a star pattern with three layers, all of which are face up. You should only have one card left, the "World", which represents the querent. Place this card in front of the querent, facing towards him/her (if you are doing the reading for yourself, place the card facing you).
▼ Meaning of Positions
The Solomon's Star has seven positions. Each position has three cards. The meaning of each position is:
(1) Represents the current actual situation of the issue.
(2) Refers to events that will happen soon.
(3) Represents the querent's expectations and desires regarding the issue.
(4) Refers to the fortune of the issue.
(5) Represents possible unexpected events.
(6) Represents enemies that the querent has not noticed.
(7) Represents the true inner motivation of the querent regarding the issue.
