The leap month is determined according to the lunar calendar.The lunar calendar is a type of calendar that takes into account the relationship between the sun, moon, and Earth, and it is a lunisolar calendar. Since purely lunar calendars do not consider the Earth's orbit around the Sun, this leads to the seasons not having fixed times on the lunar calendar, and thus it cannot reflect the seasons. Unlike the solar year, which is fixed at 365 days or 366 days, the lunar year can sometimes differ by about a month in terms of days.
