What should you pay attention to if your eyelid often twitches?

Do not bend your back or lie on the table while reading, nor should you read while lying in bed with your body sideways. The distance between your eyes and the book should be kept at 30–35 centimeters, and the distance between your body and the desk should be about 10 centimeters. The angle between the book and the desk should be maintained at 30–45 degrees. If the book is placed flat on the desk, you will naturally tilt your head forward slightly when reading, which makes the book closer to your eyes, increasing the burden on your eyes by 2–3 times, thus causing fatigue in the neck muscles and back, and unconsciously tilting forward. Over time, this can lead to a decline in vision.
Minimize contact with electronic devices that emit radiation, such as televisions, computers, and game consoles, because the X-rays emitted by cathode ray tubes can greatly deplete the retinal pigment rhodopsin, leading to significant vision deterioration. It is best to use liquid crystal displays for computers to reduce electromagnetic wave damage to the eyes. Students who often play video games are more prone to vision damage. Moreover, children who have played video games since a young age may not achieve corrected vision even after wearing glasses, as the function of the retina and macula has been damaged.
Have a regular schedule and ensure adequate sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to redness of the conjunctiva, increased secretions, sensitivity to light, tearing, and eye pain, which are symptoms of conjunctivitis and corneal inflammation. Try to avoid eye injuries caused by wind, dust, ultraviolet rays, infrared rays, chemical substances, and medical products.
Nutrition should be balanced. Imbalanced diets or excessive intake of sugar and protein can lead to deficiencies in trace elements such as zinc, calcium, and chromium, which are not beneficial for vision health. The preventive measure is to eat more vegetables, fruits, liver, and fish.
