International Children's Day (also known as Children's Day), is a holiday established to ensure the right to survival, health, and education of children around the world, to improve children's lives, and to oppose the killing and poisoning of children. Most countries usually set it on June 1st every year. Currently, governments around the world generally pay attention to the future of children and protect their rights. The United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990, and China was one of the countries involved in its formulation and signatory. In the same year that China ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child, it promulgated the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors, which has played a positive role in safeguarding the rights and interests of minors.
