Long Ying

A Ming Dynasty censor. He passed the imperial examination during the Xuande era and served as the magistrate of Nan Gong County. He was frugal and valued agriculture, displaying the style of an ancient official who was incorruptible and unyielding. When two military officials came to the capital and demanded to seize farmland for the army, Long Ying boldly said that there were no empty fields in the county, except for the grass in front of the county office hall, all the rest were farmlands vital to the country's economy and people's livelihood. As a result, Long Ying won the case.

Long Guangzu

A person from the Ming Dynasty, he became a Jinshi (a top-level degree) and served in the court, but had conflicts with Zhang Juzheng, who controlled the government affairs. Long Zi Yong

Long Zi Yong, originally named Long Tingxi, styled Xingzhi, was a Miao nationality person from Tangjiawan, Ma'er Township, Huayuan County. He was born in the 32nd year of the Qing Dynasty's Guangxu era (1906). In the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926), Long Zi Yong entered Changsha Middle School, when the workers' and peasants' movement was rising, and he was elected as the chairman of the student self-governance association. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, he was arrested by the Yongsu County Government on suspicion of being a Communist and imprisoned for one and a half years. In the 25th year of the Republic of China, Long Zi Yong participated in the "Yongsu County Petition Group for the Abolition of the Tuntax" as a representative of the Miao people and went to the provincial capital to petition. After returning to the county, he established an armed self-defense force for the reform of the tuntax. He traveled to Zunyi in Guizhou, Fuling in Sichuan, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Changsha to seek support from influential people who sympathized with the reform of the tuntax. In the same year, October, he returned to the county and served as the vice commander of the Sichuan, Guizhou, and Hunan Miao People's Reform and Anti-Japanese Army. In December, he went to the provincial capital to negotiate with the provincial government to abolish the tuntax. After the reform army was reorganized and prepared for the resistance against Japan, Long Zi Yong served as the deputy commander of the newly formed regiment and was stationed in Luxi, promoting anti-Japanese propaganda. That autumn, he served as the deputy commander of the Yongsu People's Anti-Japanese Self-Defense Corps, maintaining local security. The following year, the troops were sent to the front lines of the anti-Japanese war and achieved remarkable achievements in the Battle of Hubei. Later, they inflicted heavy losses on the Japanese forces in the Dajingshan campaign. In the 30th year of the Republic of China, Long Zi Yong was transferred to serve as the chief of the logistics supply station of the 79th Army, holding the rank of Colonel. The next year, he died due to illness.
