Can Qilin and Pixiu be worn together? Qilin and Pixiu are both auspicious beasts in Chinese culture, but their purposes are different. Let's learn more about them together. Huayi Network has carefully prepared the content about Feng Shui Auspicious Items. Let's take a look with us!

Can Qilin and Pixiu be worn together?

It is best not to put them together;
Qilin is an auspicious beast and a benevolent creature, one of the original four spiritual beasts (Dragon, Phoenix, Qilin, and Tortoise);
Pixiu is greedy and fierce. If it is successfully consecrated, it is not suitable for everyone to bear. It is said that when they are hungry, they can also absorb some human energy, and people with weak bodies may suffer from wearing a consecrated Pixiu.
While Qilin is kind-hearted, there is no need to worry too much. Pixiu is fierce, so to prevent conflict, it is better to place them separately.

Differences in the functions of Qilin and Pixiu

The function of Pixiu differs from that of Qilin. Pixiu is a fierce auspicious beast with a strong sense of loyalty to its master. It has the ability to ward off evil and protect the home. Pixiu feeds on wealth and can absorb wealth from all directions.
The Feng Shui functions of Pixiu can be summarized as follows:
First, it has the function of warding off evil and protecting the home. Placing a consecrated Pixiu at home can improve the family's luck, enhance good fortune, drive away evil spirits, and serve as a guardian spirit in the house, ensuring the safety of the entire family.
Second, it has the function of attracting wealth and enhancing prosperity. In addition to helping with side income, it also helps with main income, so businessmen should also place Pixiu in their company or home.
Third, it has the function of resolving the Great Yellow Five (Wuhuang Dasha). It is used to neutralize negative energies and enhance wealth, especially in terms of financial luck, where Pixiu has a more obvious effect.
Pixiu is also known as Tianlu and Piyi. It has four names, and it is a mythical creature in ancient Chinese legends. It has the head of a dragon, the body of a horse, and the paws of a qilin, resembling a lion in shape, with grayish-white fur and the ability to fly. Pixiu is fierce and powerful. It was responsible for patrolling in the sky and preventing demons, diseases, and other disturbances from disrupting the heavenly court. In ancient times, people also used Pixiu as a name for armies. It has a mouth but no anus, capable of swallowing everything without excreting, thus able to attract wealth and accumulate treasures, taking in but not letting out. This is why many Chinese people now wear jade products of Pixiu.
In the "Biography of the Western Regions" in the Book of Han, there is a record: "In the country of Wuge Shanli, there were Taobai, lions, and urine bulls." Meng Kang's annotation says: "Taobai, also called Fubai, resembles a deer with a long tail. A one-horned one is called Tianlu, and a two-horned one is called Piyi." Piyi is Pixiu.
Pixiu has twenty-six shapes and forty-nine incarnations. Its mouth and belly are large, and it has no anus, meaning it eats but never excretes, symbolizing the absorption of wealth from all directions, only taking in but not letting out. At the same time, it can ward off evil and protect the home, specifically gathering wealth and power for its master. Ancient sages believed that destiny is predetermined, but one's fortune can change. Therefore, in the folk tradition, there is a saying: "Touch the Pixiu and your fortune will flourish, touch it again and your wealth will flow, and touch it a third time and you will rise quickly." This is a beautiful wish.
According to the theory of fate, "a person's destiny is determined by heaven". When a person is born, their entire fortune is already set.
