What impact does the environment outside a building window have on people?

As is well known, Feng Shui is a traditional Chinese metaphysics. In Feng Shui, the external environment is considered as the surrounding area, with the person at the center. The house itself represents the external Feng Shui, and the environment outside the house is the Feng Shui of the building. How much does the Feng Shui outside the building affect the building?

1. There is an external construction impact in front of the window

When a building opposite to your position is under construction, the negative energy (sha qi) is strongest when there are scaffolds, as it creates the image of "a thousand arrows piercing through," which can significantly affect your building. During the construction period, the closer the building being constructed is to your floor, the greater the impact — for example, when the building reaches the fifth floor, the fifth to tenth floors of your building will be most affected; when it reaches the tenth floor, the tenth to fifteenth floors will be most affected, and so on.
Suggestion: If you encounter this situation, you should close the curtains on the windows facing the construction side, or use a convex mirror to reflect the negative energy.

2. A sharp angle of the rooftop is visible from the window

If the window of your home faces a sharp angle of another building's rooftop, or if the view from your residential floor directly faces such a sharp angle, the people living inside the house will suffer the greatest damage. This influence is usually strongest for the floor directly facing the angle, while the influence from the sharp angle decreases for floors further away (either higher or lower).
Example: Suppose the building forming the sharp angle has ten floors, and your residence is also on the tenth floor, then the tenth floor will be most affected, while the floors above or below will have less impact. If the height is such that you can no longer see the sharp angle of the building, then your home will not be affected by the negative energy.

3. The height of the building and its auspicious or inauspicious nature

Reminder: Pay attention to the height ratio between your building and the adjacent buildings. If your building is too tall, it may become a "single chicken standing alone," which is like a "solitary peak," indicating lack of support. Conversely, if your building is lower than the surrounding ones, it is also inauspicious. Additionally, according to the principles of Feng Shui, the left side should be "Green Dragon" and the right side "White Tiger." If the buildings on both sides differ greatly in height and form a situation where your building is sandwiched between two different heights, it is also inauspicious. However, Dr. Zheng believes that if the difference is within three floors, it is not a major issue, and friends don't need to worry.

4. High-rise buildings are less affected by negative energy

In Feng Shui, living in a higher floor is generally advantageous because high-rise buildings are less affected by negative energy. On the contrary, low-floor residents, especially those below the eighth floor, are more likely to be harmed by objects such as street lamps, short pillars, and spires that carry negative energy. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a residence on the tenth floor or higher.
Friends may notice a truth: usually, the higher the building, the more expensive it is. Moreover, the highest floors are often occupied by officials and celebrities, which confirms this principle.
From the above, we can see that windows and doors are the places where energy enters, serving as the direct connection between the interior and exterior of the house. Therefore, the positive and negative energies in Feng Shui can directly enter the house through these two points. Modern people mostly live in high-rise buildings. When you open the door, it is either facing a corridor or another resident's door. The view outside the window is even more changeable. The landscape outside the window of the building has a significant impact on the Feng Shui of the house, and friends should not take it lightly. To assess the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of a house's Feng Shui, besides analyzing the internal layout, one must also observe the external geographical environment. It is necessary to examine both the internal and external conditions of the building to make an overall judgment on the house's Feng Shui.
