On the day of the move, the fruits cannot be eaten. Usually, they can be eaten on the second day after the move or three days later. Customs vary by region, so it's best to follow local traditions.
【How many fruits should be placed when worshipping the Kitchen God】
There is no unified requirement for the number of fruits placed when worshipping the Kitchen God; it mainly depends on family traditions and personal habits. Generally, in folk traditions, numbers such as "three" and "five" are considered auspicious, so some families choose to place three or five fruits to achieve better auspicious meanings and blessings. Of course, some families may place more fruits, or arrange them according to their own situations and preferences, which is also acceptable.
What things are needed for worshipping the Kitchen God during a house move
1)Three cups of alcohol:
Alcohol is a luxurious item, but it brings pleasure to both body and mind. It is essential in grand banquets.
2)Three cups of tea:
The value of high-quality tea is not inferior to that of fine wine and delicacies. When offering tea to the Kitchen God, do not use cheap, tasteless "economy" products. Instead, use a small amount of high-quality tea, brewed with boiling water to bring out its fragrance, to please the Kitchen God.

Before the Kitchen God ceremony, cook some glutinous rice balls. Their purpose is to make the Kitchen God have a sweet mouth, so he can speak sweetly to the Jade Emperor. When he wants to say something bad, the sticky texture of the glutinous rice balls will stick to his mouth, making it difficult for him to speak clearly, so the Jade Emperor cannot understand.
4)Sugar and other sweet snacks:
When worshiping the Kitchen God, sugar and other sweet snacks should be used. The meaning is similar to that of the glutinous rice balls. The sugar makes the Kitchen God feel sweet, and thus speak more kindly. You can directly put some white sugar, yellow sugar, rock sugar, or candy slices in a bowl or plate. Using maltose would be even better.
5)Vegetables:
The Kitchen God is not a vegetarian; he can eat meat and vegetables. Otherwise, how could he become the Kitchen God? After all, most people in the world eat meat and vegetables together. Offering vegetarian dishes to the Kitchen God is to let him enjoy the deliciousness of vegetarian food.
