How should the head of the bed be oriented?

In general, the orientation of the bed head is usually suitable for the three cardinal directions: north, east, or west. If the bedroom does not have a south window, it can also face south, because the bed head should not face the window, otherwise it will cause energy dispersion.
The direction of the bed head can be determined based on the zodiac sign or the five elements' preferences and aversions. When there is a conflict between the zodiac sign and the eight characters (Ba Zi), the Ba Zi preferences should take precedence. If the conditions of the bedroom limit the adjustment of the bed position, or if the bed position is exactly opposite to one's zodiac sign or Ba Zi preferences, then the head of the bed can remain unchanged, and one can sleep facing the foot of the bed instead. This way, regardless of whether it's the head or the foot of the bed, the head can be oriented towards the preferred direction.
Determined by the zodiac sign:
1. For those born in the Year of the Pig or the Rat, the head of the bed should face north or west, not northwest or southwest.
2. For those born in the Year of the Ox, the head of the bed should face west, north, northeast, or southeast, but not northwest, southwest, or south.
3. For those born in the Year of the Tiger or Rabbit, the head of the bed should face east, south, or north, but not west. For those born in the Year of the Rabbit, sometimes it is also not suitable to face north.
4. For those born in the Year of the Dragon, the head of the bed should face north, west, southeast, or northeast, but not northwest or east.
5. For those born in the Year of the Snake or Horse, the head of the bed should face south or east, but not north.
6. For those born in the Year of the Sheep, the head of the bed should face south or southwest, but not northeast or northwest, nor north.
7. For those born in the Year of the Monkey or Rooster, the head of the bed should face west, southeast, or northeast, but not south.
8. For those born in the Year of the Dog, the head of the bed should face south, east, or northwest, but not southeast or northeast.
Determined by the Eight Characters (Ba Zi) preferences:
1. For those whose Ba Zi favors Water, the head of the bed should face north or west, not south.
2. For those whose Ba Zi favors Wood, the head of the bed should face east or north, not west.
3. For those whose Ba Zi favors Fire, the head of the bed should face south or east, not north.
4. For those whose Ba Zi favors Earth, the head of the bed should face south, west, or one of the four even positions: southeast, northeast, southwest, and northwest. Among these four even positions, there are dry earth and wet earth. If you prefer dry earth, you should face southwest or northwest. If you prefer wet earth, you should face southeast or northeast. Do not face east.
5. For those whose Ba Zi favors Metal, the head of the bed should face west, north, southeast, or northeast, not south or southwest.
