Adam continues to gaze at Eve, while Eve looks down with a red neck, helplessly watching the iron chain around her neck. The original cycle of material, spiritual, and moral aspects has long been overturned, leaving only an indulgence in material and desire; the original communication between sensibility and reason has also been cut off, becoming mutual shackles.
