Every knowledge has its historical origin, and the historical origins of different knowledge are all different. Let's take a look together at the historical origin of the Six Nines: What is the historical origin of Six Nines?

Six Nines: What is the historical origin of Six Nines?

Different knowledge also has its own historical origin, and our Six Nines also has its own historical origin.
The origin of the Six Nines technique is very early, with records in the Han Dynasty's "Wuyue Chunqiu" and "Yuejue Shu". The "Sui Shu · Jingji Zhi" records "Six Nines Shijing Zazhu" and "Six Nines Jizhao". The "Tang Shu · Yiwenshi" and "Song Shi · Yiwenshi" also mention the names of books on Six Nines.
The "Siku Weishou Shu Tiyao" records the Song Dynasty's Zhu Bi's "Six Nines Da Zhan", and introduces it as follows: "This book was not listed in the 'Song Zhi', and Zheng Qiao's 'Tongzhi Lue' lists up to eighty-two schools of Six Nines. Jiao Hong's 'Jingji Zhi' lists eighty-nine schools, and Qian Zunwang's 'Shugu Tang Shumu' lists eighteen schools. None of them list this book, which has been lost for a long time. This one is copied from a Song dynasty edition, and the front of the volume has a preface written by Bi and the beginning of Six Nines." "Bi said that the name of Six Nines is not clear to the ancient and modern people. Only the "Zhouli · Zhecu Shi" describes the duty of covering the nests of birds of death with square writing, including ten days, twelve hours, twelve months, twelve years, and twenty-eight stars, which is the body of the Six Nines plate. The Six Nines books of the Three Dynasties are only this proof, which differs from the theory of the masters that the five elements start with water, and water is born from one and completed in six."

What is Six Nines?

Six Nines is an ancient court divination method in China. It is called one of the three styles along with Taiyi and Dunjia. The term "Nin" is rooted in Hai, which belongs to the Qian trigram. The Qian trigram is the first of the eight trigrams. Next, Hai is water, the source of all things. Using Hai highlights the word "source", while Qi Men and Taiyi both refer to Six Nines. Therefore, Six Nines is known as the first of the three styles. Usually, when people refer to Six Nines, they mean the Great Six Nines.
