Three Combinations refer to:
Shen (Monkey), Zi (Rat), and Chen (Dragon) form the Water Element.
Qin (Tiger), Wu (Rooster), and Xu (Dog) form the Fire Element.
Hai (Sewer), Mao (Rabbit), and Wei (Goat) form the Wood Element.
Si (Snake), You (Sheep), and Chou (Ox) form the Metal Element.
Three Convergences refer to:
Qin (Tiger), Mao (Rabbit), and Chen (Dragon) converge as the Wood Element in the Eastern direction.
Si (Snake), Wu (Rooster), and Wei (Goat) converge as the Fire Element in the Southern direction.
Shen (Monkey), You (Sheep), and Xu (Dog) converge as the Metal Element in the Western direction.
Hai (Sewer), Zi (Rat), and Chou (Ox) converge as the Water Element in the Northern direction.
Chen (Dragon), Xu (Dog), Chou (Ox), and Wei (Goat) converge as the Earth Element in the Four Seasons.
In traditional beliefs, combinations and convergences require certain conditions; however, the practice of Human Biological Rhythmology has proven that if these energies exist in the natal chart or in the current luck cycle, the combinations and convergences are valid without requiring additional conditions.
