Only by combining destiny and fortune can we understand the auspiciousness or misfortune in a person's life. The major luck is determined based on the month pillar of the four pillars, with differences between males and females in terms of direction. The calculation of the starting age for the major luck also varies according to the direction. The method of arranging the major luck is: for a yang male and yin female, the major luck is arranged in the forward direction, while for a yin male and yang female, it is arranged in the reverse direction. Generally, eight steps of luck are arranged. For example, for a male born in the year of Geng Xu and the month of Ji Mao, which is a yang year for a male, his major luck would be: Geng Chen, Xin Si, Ren Wu, Gui Wei, Jia Shen, Yi You, Bing Xu, Ding Hai.
A female born in the year of Geng Xu and the month of Ji Mao, which is a yang year for a female, her major luck would be: Wu Yin, Ding Chou, Bing Zi, Yi Hai, Jia Xu, Gui You, Ren Shen, Xing Wei. A male born in the year of Ding You and the month of Jia Chen, which is a yin year for a male, his major luck would be: Gui Mao, Ren Yin, Xin Chou, Geng Zi, Ji Hai, Wu Xu, Gui You, Bing Shen. A female born in the year of Ding You and the month of Jia Chen, which is a yin year for a female, her major luck would be: Yi Si, Bing Wu, Ding Wei, Wu Shen, Ji You, Geng Xu, Xin Hai, Ren Zi.
The calculation of the starting age for the major luck: the method is to count three days as one year, meaning one day equals four months, and one hour equals five days. For example, if the total number of days to start the major luck is 18 days, divided by 3, it equals 6, meaning the person starts their major luck at the age of 6.
